Valentine’s Day 3 Ways!
Here are some of our favorite ways to shower our loved ones with expressive gestures and tokens of affection sprinkled throughout the day!
Family Valentine’s Day Breakfast Party
Kick-off the day with a Love-Fest Breakfast! Greet sleepy-heads with a surprise over-the-top Valentine’s table set with fresh flowers, bright linens and love notes at each place setting. On this day we forgo healthy choices and overdo the whipped cream and cherries! Sprinkle chocolate candies all over the table and add rainbow sprinkles to everything: pancakes, cappuccinos, scrambled eggs – yes, everything. This makes everyone giggle. Everyone leaves the breakfast table feeling joyful and loved so they can go on with their day and spread that love around!
Galentine’s Day Gathering
Valentine’s is super fun to celebrate with your friends at a supremely feminine gathering with a decadently set table! We adore a profusion of florals bursting with pastel blooms, unabashedly petal-pink tableware and place cards written with every guest’s childhood nickname…a mix of whimsy and refinement that never fails to elicit smiles and stories. Create a candy cocktail bar with bubbly served in champagne flutes with a touch of cherry-red grenadine to make a fabulous ombré cocktail and then offer a cheek-puckering candy buffet to mix into the drinks! Sweet and sour gummies are great for this and add a tart kick to your fizz. And if you really want to spoil everyone, you can even gift each friend with a little piece of matching jewelry to celebrate the love of your friendship!
Romantic Dinner for Two
A romantic evening calls for breaking out of the typical routine. Although we do love a grand gesture (Mr. Gooding has been known to call in a string quartet or a gospel choir on occasion) it’s the little, thoughtful things that speak volumes when it comes to the language of love! Light a million candles and set a romantic dinner table decorated with photos of the two of you in pretty frames. Go on a culinary adventure together in your own kitchen and make pasta from scratch. Or order your favorite local takeout, turn off the tv and dine al fresco under the stars.
Perhaps indulge in a luxurious ingredient or two and serve caviar and oysters (accompanied by a great bottle of champagne, of course)! Most especially, treat your sweetheart to the most precious and cherished gift (besides chocolate) of all—your time. This is the night to slow down, cozy up and celebrate your beautiful life together.
